Musical Keyboard

A 61-key Keyboard

A musical keyboard is the set of adjacent depressible levers or keys on a musical instrument. Keyboards typically contain keys for playing the twelve notes of the Western musical scale, with a combination of larger, longer keys and smaller, shorter keys that repeats at the interval of an octave. Keyboard is a string instrument and its a descendant of Piano which was invented in the 17th century by an italian musician Bartolomeo Cristofori.

Musical Notes

In music, notes are distinct and isolatable sounds that act as the most basic building blocks for nearly all of music. Notes may be visually communicated by writing them in musical notation.

Scales

In music theory, a scale is "any consecutive series of notes that form a progression between one note and its octave", typically by order of pitch or fundamental frequency. Most or all of the melody and harmony of a musical work is built using the notes of a single scale, which can be conveniently represented on a staff with a standard key signature.

Chords

Piano chords are essentially groups of two or more notes played together to create more interesting and complex sounds than just single notes played consecutively. Here you will study about 23 types of chords.
